Whim is a flexible, subscription-based, creative space-sharing platform that allows people to visit, share, and explore creative spaces across the globe more easily and affordably.
The Problem
People desire a space (that suits their individual needs) to explore their artistic passion and modes of expression–there is a need for a digital, central repository that allows individuals to locate and use creative spaces that is convenient, affordable, and accessible.
The Solution

Competitive Landscape
After looking at the competition, it became apparent that the majority of platforms are overloaded with features, use pay-per-service pricing models, and lack specificity when displaying products or services.
User Interviews
The people I interviewed gave unique insights into their creative processes, with some key discoveries being the overall disdain for commitment, the lack of time for creativity, and the strong desire to pursue new creative outlets.
Personas
Through several affinity mapping sessions, three personas were created: Alex, Maggie, and Teresa. Despite their differences, all three are looking for ways to fulfill their creative desires.
